The HyloCool gel works as a phase change material and is designed to maximize the cooling from evaporation of the water contained in the gel. The effect lasts until the gel evaporates, leaving no mess behind. ==How It Works:== HyloCool is an aqueous gel that adheres to horizontal and vertical surfaces, even when heated, and absorbs heat. HyloCool gel works by trapping water on the surface of the substrate. Its additives and surfactants reduce the boiling point of the water, increase the surface area in contact with the metal, and hold the gel in place. The phase change from liquid to gas absorbs the heat. Under high heat, HyloCool will evaporate.
