Cylinders can distort up to .004” when torquing head bolts. With this much distortion, piston rings won’t seal properly. To help eliminate distortion, use precision machined torque plates to duplicate actual cylinder conditions, and to achieve the high degree of bore accuracy required during the boring & honing process. |
